Hike to a forest waterfall, and let it shower over you.  Explore the healing plants of this tropical region with guidance from two herbalists.  Indulge in an array of bodywork, spa treatments and healing offerings.  Take a dip in the pool, and soak in the sunlight. Comfy Accommodations

 

Allow yourself to truly relax in the peace and security of the Costa Rican mountains.

Tastefully designed and decorated for you to enjoy the serenity of your surroundings, each suite features one or two queen beds, a spacious private bath with shower/bath tub, and your very own terrace and garden with outdoor seating.

 

Hardwood furniture and a locally harvested teak wood ceiling bring the ambiance of the forest into your room.

The sleeping area has either one or two comfy queen-sized beds, divided by a half-wall. Ceiling fans, a refrigerator, tea/coffee maker, phone, complimentary snacks and Fiberoptic WiFi are your amenities.

The Facilitators

Your hosts, Carrie Taylor  & Tamara Segal have crafted a deeply restorative, life-giving retreat experience, in collaboration with gourmet Chef Chris Bryne, and the peaceful majestic offerings of Ama Tierra. This is a retreat experience you do not want to miss. 

Carrie Taylor

Carrie’s relaxed energy and soothing voice leads one into a deep state of inner calm tapping into inner wisdom where specific challenges can be addressed.

Certified with the NGH as a Consulting Hypnotist as well as QHHT certified and has been helping people improve their lives with hypnosis since 2015. Carrie has been practicing yoga for close to 3 decades and is a RYT 200 yoga instructor leading slow flow and Yin classes since 2012.

In both her yoga classes and hypnosis sessions, she encourages people to connect with their inner messenger and learn how to nurture from within to make positive changes in their lives. Her love of healing comes from the profound personal transformations she has experienced over the years in her own life and enjoys sharing these tools with others. Tamara Segal

Tamara works with plants as medicine to help facilitate healing on a holistic level, in line with nature.  She finds that nature’s medicine in its simplicity carries a deep wisdom that can facilitate profound healing on many levels.  She prepares medicines from wild plants which she harvests from the land where she lives, in Prince Edward County ON. She runs a private practice, creating custom herbal blends, and offering nutritional support as well as suggesting other natural approaches to help restore and maintain vibrant health.  Tamara also offers guided wild edible & medicinal plant tours throughout her region, sharing with others her deep appreciation and connection with the wild abundance surrounding us all.  She has been gratefully immersed in this work since 2003, and is a Registered Herbalist with Ontario Herbalists Association. Chef Chris Byrne

Chef Chris has been preparing inspired, gourmet plant based meals for over 20 years.  He makes magic on a plate, expressing his art through bringing delightful and complex flavours together to tantalize any palate with comforting, nourishing goodness. He is trained in macrobiotic principles, along with traditional and contemporary Japanese and Indian culinary techniques as well as raw cuisine.  Along with running his own catering company for many years, Chef Chris has lent his expertise in various plant based, gourmet kitchens and healing centres, including spending time as the executive chef at Grail Springs spa in Bancroft Ontario.  Through studying and working with his partner, Tamara Segal, a Registered Herbalist, he has gained a passion for harvesting and preparing local wild foods.  You can view his beautiful culinary creations on Instagram @chefchris2112, or via his website www.chefchrisbyrne.com
